Ladies and Gents! You are invited to a spectacular event that takes us back to the swinging 1920's! Ladies, grab your dress and gloves. Gents, grab those suspenders and hats. This night will be the cat's pajamas! (Not suited for duds or gimlets.)
Chef Missy Burns of Black Velvet Desserts and Kristin Baisden of Lovely Arrows Events & Designs are at it again with their luxurious desserts and stellar experiences that will leave you overwhelmingly satisfied and incredibly inspired. You'll experience luxurious desserts expertly paired with wine. Enjoy a cash bar and other hors d'oeuvres and treats as we party like it's 1920! (No dinner provided - but come hungry anyway!)
As you enter (only by the correct password*), you'll be greeted with a glass of bubbly and an ID card. You're invited to meet and mingle, maybe even dance a little before the main desserts are served.
The twenties was an era of revolutionary change in society for many reasons. But it was also the era when action began to combat human trafficking - which was then known as "white slavery". But there is a lot more to know about what human trafficking was like back in the 1920's.
This event will also debut the official kickoff of the collaborative effort between Black Velvet Desserts and Lovely Arrows Events & Design. The Black Arrow Project is a collaboration that signifies the strength and defensive power of the arrow which symbolizes moving forward from darkness into light. It also seeks to restore value and worth to those victimized by sexual exploitation and abuse. You are valued. You are worth it. You are loved.
Join us for a night of light-hearted fun as we bring awareness to the dark world of human trafficking. A portion of each ticket sold will go to the restoration efforts for victims of human sex trafficking.
These tickets will be the cat's meow, so grab them now! (THIS WOULD BE A GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT!)
Special thanks to Plum Run Winery / Grove City Brewing Company for providing their establishment for this event.
*NOTE: This is a fun event that will resemble an authentic "speakeasy" party in rebellion to the Prohibition era - or in our case, Human trafficking era. Let's all play along with these historic "rules" from the 1920's:
~ All patrons must know the password.
~ Please dress sharply and speak-easy. Mind your manners.
~ Do refrain from talking on your phone inside the bar.
~ Treat others how you would like to be treated.
"We hope you have a great time at our establishment and please drink responsibly."
Tickets are on sale NOW. Please come dressed in your best 1920's speakeasy outfits (contact for ideas on where to get your outfit) Those who purchase tickets will get an e-mail explaining the mystery behind the ID card and directions on how to enter. This event is for those 21 years of age and older.
